'When will I get married?' is the most asked question in Indian astrology — and the most badly answered. This page explains exactly how marriage timing is judged in classical Vedic astrology, and how this site works out your windows step by step from your own chart instead of giving you a comforting guess.
Before timing, the chart is checked for promise. The 7th house, its lord, Venus, Jupiter and the total Ashtakavarga strength of the 7th house are scored together. A strong, well-placed 7th lord with Jupiter's support means an easy promise. A debilitated, combust or badly placed 7th lord means friction.
Delay is scored separately: Saturn on the 7th house or its lord, Rahu or Ketu involvement, an uncancelled Mangal dosha. A delay score does not cancel marriage — it moves the realistic age band later, and the timing windows shift with it.
Parashari alone is not the whole classical picture. The Jaimini system adds the Darakaraka — the planet with the lowest degree, which describes the spouse — along with the Arudha Lagna, the Upapada Lagna which is the classical marriage indicator, and the Darapada.
These are calculated on your chart and weighed alongside the 7th house. When both systems point at the same planet or the same sign, the timing is stated more firmly.
Every Vimshottari main period and sub-period from age 18 onwards is scored on how strongly its lords connect to marriage. The highest-scoring periods become candidate windows.
Each candidate is then narrowed using the sub-sub-period inside it, and checked against real Jupiter and Saturn transits sampled across the window.
